Free Memorial Day Printables That Will Make Hosting Feel So Much Easier
There are two kinds of people on Memorial Day weekend…
The ones calmly sipping sweet tea in a lawn chair while the burgers are grilling…
…and the ones running through the house yelling:
“WHO FORGOT THE ICE?!”
Friend… we are trying to be the first person this year. 😂
Because as fun as holiday weekends are, they can also feel like a full-time job for women who somehow become:
- the planner
- the grocery shopper
- the hostess
- the cleaner
- the cook
- the sunscreen reminder
- AND the person responsible for remembering the paper towels.
Honestly? The mental load alone deserves a vacation.
That’s exactly why I created these FREE Memorial Day printables for you.
Not because your BBQ has to be perfect.
Not because your hot dogs need a Pinterest moment.
Not because your watermelon cubes need to be cut into stars.
But because being organized ahead of time means you actually get to ENJOY the holiday weekend too. ❤️
And that matters.
What’s Included In The Free Memorial Day Printable Pack
This printable bundle was created to solve the biggest Memorial Day problem most women face:
Trying to remember everything at the last minute.
Inside the printable pack you’ll get:
🇺🇸 BBQ Party Timeline Checklist
This one is for my fellow “I’ll remember it later” people.
Spoiler alert:
we do not remember it later.
This checklist walks you through:
- one week before
- three days before
- the day before
- the morning of
- even the last 30 minutes before guests arrive
So instead of panic-cleaning your patio while trying to thaw hamburger meat, you can actually feel prepared.
And honestly?
The “take a deep breath” reminder might be my favorite part.
Because somewhere along the way, women started believing hosting had to be stressful to count as successful.
No ma’am.
A successful Memorial Day gathering is one where:
- people feel welcome
- laughter is loud
- somebody asks for the potato salad recipe
- and you aren’t stress-sweating through your shirt before noon.
That’s the goal. 😂
🛒 BBQ Grocery List Printable
If you have ever walked into Walmart for “just a few things” and left forgetting:
- buns
- ketchup
- ice
- OR the actual meat…
this grocery list is for you.
I separated everything into categories because wandering aisle 14 trying to remember if you bought mustard is not the peaceful summer vibe we’re aiming for.
The printable includes:
- meats & proteins
- produce
- breads
- dairy
- snacks
- drinks
- paper goods
- condiments
- desserts
Basically all the little things people forget until 20 minutes before company arrives.
And can we all agree…
paper towels deserve more respect during holiday weekends? 😂
🧳 Memorial Day Weekend Packing List
This one might secretly be my favorite.
Because if your Memorial Day plans involve:
- the lake
- the beach
- camping
- a road trip
- staying with family
- or chasing grandkids through somebody’s backyard…
you already know somebody always forgets something important.
Usually sunscreen.
Or medicine.
Or a phone charger.
Or the favorite pajamas.
This printable helps you pack without having to mentally keep a running list in your head for three straight days.
And ladies…
the “extra outfit for photos” line?
That one’s for us. 😉
Because if there’s going to be patriotic porch photos and sunset pictures with sparklers, we are absolutely bringing the cute outfit.
🍔 BBQ Must-Haves Checklist
This printable is basically your “don’t forget the obvious things” helper.
Because somehow every cookout has:
- six bags of chips
- but no serving spoon
- fourteen desserts
- but no lighter fluid
- enough soda for a football team
- but nobody bought forks
This checklist keeps all the little details organized so you can stop carrying the entire weekend in your brain.
And honestly?
That mental load relief is worth everything.
Why Organization Matters More Than Perfection
Can I tell you something?
Your guests are not showing up hoping your BBQ looks like a magazine spread.
They’re showing up because:
- they love being together
- they want memories
- they want connection
- they want laughter
- they want to sit outside and enjoy life for a little while
Nobody is judging your napkins.
Nobody is grading your macaroni salad.
And if they are?
They can host next year. 😂
Women spend so much time trying to create the “perfect” holiday that we forget the real goal:
Creating a home and atmosphere people feel good in.
That’s it.
And organization helps with that because it removes:
- chaos
- rushing
- overwhelm
- decision fatigue
- last-minute stress
The more prepared you are beforehand…
the more present you can be during the actual weekend.
And THAT is the whole point.
Memorial Day Hosting Tips That Make Life Easier
After years of hosting, cooking, cleaning, and trying to make holidays feel special without completely exhausting myself… here are a few things I’ve learned.
Prep More Than You Think You Need To
Future you will never regret:
- chopping fruit early
- making desserts ahead of time
- setting out serving trays the night before
- pre-filling coolers
But future you WILL regret waiting until guests are ringing the doorbell to look for the scissors.
Ask me how I know. 😂
Use Disposable When You Need To
Listen carefully:
using paper plates does not make you a bad hostess.
It makes you a smart woman who doesn’t want to spend Memorial Day night scrubbing dishes while everybody else relaxes.
Protect your peace.
Create One “Drop Zone”
I always recommend having:
- one table
- one counter
- or one designated area
for:
- cups
- plates
- napkins
- utensils
- condiments
Otherwise people will ask you where everything is 74 times.
And by the third “where are the forks?” you’ll start considering moving to another state. 😂
Don’t Overcomplicate The Food
People remember:
- how they felt
- who they laughed with
- the stories
- the music
- the memories
Not whether your baked beans were homemade.
Easy food is good food.
And stress-free food tastes even better.
These Printables Were Created For Real Life
Not Pinterest-perfect life.
Real life.
The kind where:
- the kids are loud
- the drinks spill
- the weather changes
- somebody burns the first batch of burgers
- and everybody still has the best time anyway
That’s the kind of Memorial Day I love most.
Messy.
Happy.
Relaxed.
Real.
And if these free printables help make your weekend even a little easier…
then they did exactly what they were meant to do. ❤️
So print them out.
Stick them on the fridge.
Take them to the store.
Use them at the lake.
Share them with your friends.
And most importantly?
Actually enjoy your people this weekend.
Because those are the memories that last forever.
Tracy 💛
